The powerhouse of the club could not continue with out the folks who so generously give their time and assistance to the club. The committee gives a lot of time and effort making things tick. Old boats are donated to the club giving us an enviable loan fleet.

Active members work hard to ensure all's well, we had a great club tidy up with loads of members in attendance in November. Just recently Alan Farrence took time out to fix the electrics. I'm sure there are many more who i've not named, apologies but you know who you are. THANKS

Club racing relies on volunteers who do not race but time and manage us. in tribute, John Houston writes:

"Although a member of the HHCC for only the past three years it was like coming home and being with friends; I was formerly a member of caving club in Crickhowell.

"On my first visit i was encouraged to take part in a summer series race of at least four miles, although my girls paddled around under the watchful eyes of our time keepers.

"I would like to thank our summer series time keepers Derrick Sayles and Yvonne Pearce for their support during these events. The handicaps are worked by Bob in consultation with the tide tables, moon phase, form and weather conditions and his vast knowledge of the form. The carefully drafted handicap table is then used by time keepers who have to deal with the paddlers who are keen to be not too competitive. The support in running these series is most important and it is always done with a smile and encouragement. I had not realised that I would be joining such a supportive family of fellow paddlers but also those splendid below decks members.

"Clubs like HHHC are dependant on the support of friends and members who help make the events and allow the club to continue to flourish. Thank you."
